To Err Is Human: To Forgive, Canine

Lakoda the "TALL TALE"

Lakoda or Koda for short is his name. I know his name is spelled inccorectly, but "Koda" sounds better then "Kota". His name  represents his crazy and wild spirit and his joy in taking random laps around my local trainer's field. I decided that his show name would be Tall Tale because he is named after a group of Native Americans whose culture is rich with stories of the past and tales of loved heros. Tall Tale also seemed appropreate becasue it is hard to find a doberman with his speed and heart for agility; and I hope that together we can prove his breed has unbelievable drive and heart for agility. Trainers who run amazing border collies that always win tend to ignore the off breeds. Although it is because there are only so many dobermans out there who are competiton. My goal for us is to be invited to the invitationals so we can show America the dobermans who really can kick some border collie tushie (except of course Rev, hehe). :)

Koda is the biggest baby on the planet! He is afraid of weird objects that aren't threatening:  small dogs, big dogs, moving things such as the curtains or my feet under the covers. He is lovable and sweet but sometimes too sweet. Koda is really good in agility and always gives me his all.  He is really fun to run. Tori says hes weird to run, and she is probably right because he's a bit strange. He loves the A-Frame and weave poles.  Koda does 2on/2off for contacts; he currently is showing in AKC and USDAA and he's done some CPE fun matches. We have gone to four shows in total, two with AKC and two with USDAA, he has his NAJ for AKC and two Qs in starters jumpers and starters gamblers, also a Q in standard (finally) for USDAA. We started showing in September and have been doing pretty well. We're both trying to lasso our nerves so I can go in the ring without trembling hands and so he can walk in without jumping and spinning.
